A list of items I’ve come across recently that I found potentially useful, interesting, or just plain funny:
- PCI device list – (I used to use Craig Hart’s version but this one is still maintained)
- Future Technology and Society Predictions: Future For All – Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Information technology and Cognitive science predictions
- BT Technology Timeline – A view into the future?
- Traffic signs image database – Downloadable images for official UK traffic signs
- Universal TCP/IP network book disk – MS-DOS boot disk with TCP/IP drivers for most PC network interface cards
- Twidge – Command line Twitter client for Linux
- Live train map for the London Underground – Check progress of tube trains in real time (via Simon Gallagher)
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager – A free RDP client from Microsoft that allows management of multiple RDP sessions (via Michael Pietroforte)
- Locals and Tourists – Eric Fischer’s visualisations for photographic hotspots in major cities
- Prezi – The zooming presentation editor (via Eileen Brown)
- pptPlex – Zoom in and out of slide sections and move directly between slides that are not sequential in your presentation (via Eileen Brown)
Great find on the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager.
I though at first, “but Windows already has a remote desktop manager?” This is a lot more useful though (thanks to being able to group servers).
Loving the traffic signs image database. So random.
Yeah… I guess it is a bit!
